Damage to lungs from smoking

Society is gripped into unawareness of the damages smoking cause to one’s lungs. A human lung has many parts and smoking possess damages to the key regulatory enzymes. Smoking damages the natural cleaning and repair system of the lung and damages the alveoli which is the air sacs.

Smoking damages the natural cleaning and repair system of the lungs and develops cancer which causes chemical in the lungs. It destroys the tiny hairs called the cilia which provide the function to protect against infection. When your natural cleaning and repair system is damaged the germs, dirt and chemical from smoke one inhales stays in the lung. This is where the chronic coughing comes in. Everything now builds up in the lungs so the lungs could no longer perform its function because it has been damaged.

The alveoli is damaged which is known to be the air sacs so it now becomes difficult to breathe. The alveoli is a stretchy part in the lungs and when we intake and exhale it stretches. This helps the body to get rid of the carbon dioxide but smoking damages it to the extent where it is less likely to be stretchy. The inhalation and exhalation process becomes difficult and sometimes could lead to short breath and heart complaints since the heart has to pump to give the body oxygen. The function could no longer be performed by the alveoli.

Damages to these regulatory system demolishes many from dancing, singing and even running because the breathing process is now not functional as it use to be or suppose to be. Why smoke and damage our special creation from God? Don’t we like the amazing things our bodies do? Would we want to be coughing in the faces of others? No because we would look abnormal to others. Breathing is important! The function created for the lungs is unique! Why would we expose our self to more complain like heart diseases?

Our lung has its special function to get rid of what isn’t good and intake what is good, when it is damaged we cannot do either or. Let us reduce short breath, cancer, heart complains and other damages to the regulatory system. We have the God given responsibility to take care of ourselves and others. Let us not relinquish that responsibility. Smoking damages the lungs so just don’t do it!
